This past weekend Jeremy Nelson ended up just racing on Saturday at Ogilvie Raceway. There were 22 Modifieds in attendance. They started 3rd in their heat and finished 2nd. Due to their finishing average over the past few weeks, they had to start 9th in the feature. At the start of the race, they fell back to 12th after being bottled up for a few laps. Once everything settled, they began their march to the front where they finished 4th, a half a car length short of 3rd. They definitely had the fastest car by the end of the race, they just fell back at the beginning which dug them into a hole. But, being able to rally back to the front as they did in that short of a race, gets them pretty excited for the special events that are coming up in the next few weeks.
Next week begins their long stretch of special events. Jeremy will be at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, WI Thursday and Friday for the Wisconsin Modified Nationals followed by the Minnesota Modified Nationals at Ogilvie Raceway Saturday and Sunday.
