This past weekend, Jeremy competed at the Labor Day Shootout at Hibbing Raceway on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday there were 31 Modifieds on hand. He started 3rd in his heat and won which got them 3rd in overall passing points. They did a redraw for the top 8 in passing points for the starting positions for the feature and Jeremy drew the number 3. For the feature, he made a couple of changes to the car, thinking that it would slick off but the track was the complete opposite. The car was a handful and he had to settle for 8th.
On Sunday, there were 30 Modifieds. Jeremy started 6th in his heat and finished 3rd which put him 6th in passing points and he redrew the 8. At the start of the feature, he got into 5th right away and after a couple of cautions, he found himself in 4th right behind 2nd and 3rd. In an attempt to find a way around them, Jeremy ended up losing a position in the closing laps of the race and finished 5th.
It definitely was not the results Jeremy was hoping for this weekend but there was nothing to complain about!
