This past weekend Jeremy competed on the third swing of the Advantage RV Modified tour. On Thursday they were at Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. There were 28 Modifieds on hand. They started 2nd in the heat and won, which put them in the redraw where they drew the 3. In the feature, Jeremy took the lead 9 laps into the race and went on to win his 2nd race of the year!
On Friday they were at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND. There were 23 Modifieds in attendance. Jeremy started 2nd in his heat and once again took the win. They redrew the 7 for the feature. At the start of the feature, Jeremy got pushed into the wall causing them to lose several positions and they fell back to 16th. But as the race went on, they were able to rebound back to a 7th place finish.
Saturday they were at Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN where there was 23 modifieds on hand. Jeremy started 1st in his heat and won. They redrew 8 for the feature. The feature ended up being a very good race as they raced 3 wide for multiple laps and they were able to work his way up to 2nd with about 10 laps to go but the leader was way too far out front so they were not able to catch him so they had to settle for 2nd.
Sunday they were at Bemidji Speedway where there were 19 Modifieds on hand. Jeremy started 2nd in the heat and finished 2nd. They then redrew the 6 for the feature. A few laps into the feature, they were up to 4th where they got put into the wall and cut a tire which ended his night.
It was definitely a roller coaster of the weekend. Jeremy once again had a lot of speed and were one of, if not the fastest car each night but they just had a few misfortunes that affected his results. Do to the DNF on Sunday, they are now out of contention for the points championship going into the final swing of the tour which is in a few weeks but they will finish it out in hopes to tick off a few more wins.
Next weekend Jeremy will be at I-94 Sure Step Speedway for the Bob Gierke Memorial race on Friday.
