This past weekend Jeremy competed at the Great Lakes Border Battle at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, WI on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, there were 28 Modifieds. He started 4th in the heat and finished 3rd. This put them in 8th for passing points so that is where they started for the 30 lap feature. At the start of the feature, Jeremy got boxed in and fell back to 10th. After a few laps, they were able to get free and start marching to the front where they would run out of time and end up finishing 5th.
Saturday, there were 26 Modifieds in attendance. Jeremy started 1st and finished 1st in his heat, which put them 4th in overall passing points. In the feature, they wasted no time and took the lead 5 laps into the race. But after a few laps of leading, his car began to go away and they ended up falling back to 5th, which is where Jeremy finished.
All in all, it was a consistent weekend with 2 top 5 finishes against top notch competition. This next weekend they continue with the Advantage RV Modified Tour where Jeremy will race at I-94 Sure Step Speedway on Friday, Viking Speedway on Saturday, and finish the weekend off at Granite City Motor Park on Sunday.
