This past weekend we raced at I-94 Sure Step Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN, and Ogilvie Raceway on Saturday. On Friday, there were 25 Modifieds on hand. We started 6th in our heat and worked our way up to 3rd. The leaders were racing side by side in front of us and we had no way to get around so we had to settle for third. This gave us a 12th starting spot for the feature. When the feature started, we began to work our way up through the field when the driver clipped one of the tractor tires in the infield and bent a few things in the front end. We were able to hang on to a 7th place finish.
On Saturday there were 19 Modifieds in attendance. We started 6th in the heat and finished 4th and once again had a 12th starting spot for the feature. In the feature, we wasted no time to move to the front but we ran out of time and finished 4th. If there was a caution, we have no doubt we would have finished in the top 2.
Overall, it was a pretty successful weekend. We learned a few more things with the car and we look forward to this weekend where we will be at 1-94 Sure Step Speedway for the Bob Gierke Memorial on Friday. For more updates, follow our racing page on Facebook.
