This past weekend we went to Gondik Law Speedway on Friday. Unfortunately, when we pulled onto the racetrack for our heat race, it began to downpour. Due to the amount of rain they received, we decided to pack up and head home.
On Saturday, we raced at Ogilvie Raceway where there were 32 modifieds on hand. We once again drew a not so great number and had to start 5th in our heat but we were able to work our way to the front and finished 2nd. This put us 5th for a starting spot for the feature. Once the race started, the car was very unpredictable and we fell back to 7th after a few laps and that is where we stayed the remainder of the race. After the race, we were not happy with how the car was so we decided to head back to the track Sunday morning to do some testing to try to get the car to where we like. After a few runs, and overhauling the car, we were much happier with the car.
This weekend we will be at I-94 Sure Step Speedway on Friday and Viking Speedway in Alexandria for our first invitational of the year.
