This past weekend Jeremy competed with the United States Modified Tour Series at Mississippi Thunder Speedway for the Dairyland Showdown Thursday thru Saturday. Each night there were 70+ of the best Modifieds in the country competing. It was a very disappointing weekend as they failed to qualify for all of the features. The team continued to fight with the handling of the car all weekend, see below for daily breakdowns.
Thursday – 73 Modifieds – Heat: 8th to 6th – B Feature: 10th to 12th
Friday – 73 Modifieds – Qualifying: 6th – Heat: 6th to 5th – B Feature: 7th to 10th
Saturday – 71 Modifieds – Qualifying: 5th – Heat 5th to 6th – B Feature: 9th to 9th
Jeremy was able to get it closer by the end of the weekend but it still wasn’t good enough. With that said, they have decided to convert their family owned car, the blue JMR, to USRA/USMTS and continue chasing the USMTS series when they are in the area. Otherwise, Jeremy plans on running the majority of USRA sanctioned race tracks.
This weekend, after they get their car converted, the team plans on heading to Deer Creek Speedway to race on Saturday!
