This past weekend we started out racing at I-94 Sure Step Speedway on Friday, where we had our make up feature from the Bob Gierke Memorial earlier this month. We started in 22nd and worked our way up to 8th! If we would have had a couple of things go our way, we could have been in the top five. But we were still able to win the Hard Charger honors for the feature. After the make up feature, it began to rain so we packed up and left for the night, assuming that they were going to cancel the rest of the night or the track was going to be in bad shape.
On Saturday we raced at Ogilvie Raceway. There were 15 Modifieds on hand. We started 5th in our heat and finished 4th. For the feature, we started on the pole and ended up leading the entire race and winning by straightaway. We finally got the first win out of the way so hopefully we will be having more in the near future.
This next weekend we are taking it off and taking a “vacation” to go to the USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway. The following weekend we plan on being at Gondik Law Speedway (since I-94 Speedway is not racing modifieds that night) and Ogilvie Raceway on Saturday.
