This past weekend Jeremy competed at the Gopher 50 at Deer Creek Speedway. On Thursday there were 35 USRA Modifieds in attendance. He started 6th in his heat and finished 5th. This put him in the B main where he went 2nd to 4th. The car was not handling right so he made a couple of changes to the car prior to the feature. Jeremy started 23rd in the feature and was able to move his way up to 11th, where he was awarded the Napa Hard Charger. The car was a lot better and he was really fast. If Jeremy had a caution the second half of the race, he believes he could have cracked the top 5.
On Friday there were 39 USRA Modifieds on hand. Jeremy drew a better starting position and started 2nd in the heat and finished 2nd. This put him in the redraw where he of course drew the worst number of 8 so that is where he started the feature. The car was still really good and he was able to work his way up to 5th without any cautions.
Saturday there were 39 Modifieds. Jeremy started 4th in his heat and finished 3rd. In the feature, he started 10th and finished 6th without any cautions again. At the end of the race he was the fastest car on the track but needed a caution to bunch the field back together.
It was a pretty successful weekend for Jeremy and the team. He ran up front all weekend and had a lot of speed.
This next weekend is another busy one where Jeremy will be back in action with the United States Modified Touring Series at Ogilvie Raceway on Thursday thru Saturday. Jeremy is looking forward to getting back to his home track this weekend where he has had a lot of success over the years.
