This past weekend was the start of the Advantage RV Mod Tour. Jeremy started out racing Thursday at Grand Rapids Speedway. There were 22 modifieds on hand. He started 5th in the heat and he was passing for 3rd when a rock got wedged into the throttle linkage causing it to stick. Luckily they were able to shut it down before they wrecked anything and they were able to finish 5th. This put them starting 14th for the feature. At the start, they wasted no time and started to move forward. With about 10 laps to go, Jeremy had caught the leaders and they were passing for 3rd when the 3rd place runner decided to run them over which broke their right front suspension and ended the night. This was very disappointing as they were the fastest car and were most likely going to win that race.
Friday was won by mother nature!
Saturday, the tour brought them to ABC Raceway in Ashland, WI. There were 32 modifieds on hand. They started 2nd in the heat and won by a huge margin which put them into the redraw where they drew 5th. In the feature, the driver was not patient enough on the first lap and made contact with another driver and caused Jeremy to spin, so they got sent to the tail end (25th). After just a few laps, the track began to rubber up but they were still able to work their way up to an 11th place finish.
Sunday, Jeremy raced at Halvor Lines Speedway in Proctor, MN. There were 21 modifieds in attendance. They started 2nd in the heat and finished 3rd which again put them into the redraw where they drew 6th. For the feature, they ran in the top 5 for most of the race when a late race caution bunched them back up. Jeremy had a great restart and finished 3rd. If the race was a few more laps, they could have won the race. This was definitely a good way to end a struggling weekend.
Next weekend they will take off to attend the Masters at Cedar lake Speedway as spectators. Their plans for the following weekend will be Ogilvie Raceway on Saturday and Granite City Motor Park on Sunday.
