FAQ - What Is DPF Maintenance?

DPF maintenance is the process in which the diesel particulate filter (DPF) is cleaned out. A DPF removes soot particles from the exhaust along with various nanoparticles and oil byproducts.

While the DPF does get rid of soot buildup during active and passive regeneration, a regular DPF cleaning and maintenance service is highly recommended to make sure the filter is running effectively. This process is completed via bake and blow, liquid wash or aqueous cleaning methods.
